Hoschton, Georgia~ The Home of The World Record Holding Scarecrow Stampede! http://www.hoschtonfallfestival.com/ On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, after the recommendation of a dear friend Opal Conner (her Sunday School Class had taken the Church Van to Hoschton to view the Scarecrows), Reid and I took the short trip up Highway 53 to see this world wonder. After being welcomed to the town by its welcome sign, the scarecrows started welcoming us too! And then there it was~ The Georgia and Alabama game ~ right there being played in an open field for all to view, including the scarecrows! It was a sight that you just had to pull over on the side of the road and see! Going on into town you were greeted by Elvis, a pirate, the gang from Bonanza, one of our cousins from the Addams family (Cousin It) and even the local Church jumped in with a Heavenly choir and a Manger scene with a special guest ~ Jesus! It was wonderful and it was FREE! I highly recommend this trip for your family, you never know who you might see!
